The second installment of the 2018 Joan Marshall Lecture Series will feature world-renowned presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin.
Goodwin will discuss her latest book, “Leadership in Turbulent Times,” which incorporates her five decades of scholarship studying former Presidents Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, and Lyndon Baines Johnson. The book provides an accessible and essential road map for aspiring and established leaders in every field and for all of us in our everyday lives.
A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $100 each and include a copy of “Leadership in Turbulent Times,” a private book signing reception with Kearns, and prime seating for the lecture.
Tickets to the lecture are $10 for Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society members and $15 for not-yet-members. Books will be available for purchase on site.

The VIP reception will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. Goodwin will sign for the public after the lecture.
